Thanks for all the comments yesterday.. i am even more inspired to get my run on :-) Here is my LO i did last night using the SC sketch. I am in need of black ink... i only have brown, in fact i need a whole bunch now that i am stamping a lot more! Oh and lesson learned Vellum is not a great paper to print on... it smears easily!

Oh so today was my last official day of work, they are letting me take a couple days to finish up around the house before we leave on the 27th :-) Yay!! Thanks for stopping by!

Ready to get Fit

Hey i am so excited... i have been into running lately (ok more the losing weight but i have to do it to lose the weight)! Nike made it fun by coming out with this. I took a pic and totaly want to scrap my fitness goals using this pic!! The sensor works with the ipod and tracks your speed and distance... you upload it to the Nike site and it will post it to facebook if you want (way to keep me accountable for running hard). Also you can challenge people and your friends. I am pumped i just need to calibrate it and i can start using it!! No Scrappy Goodness to showcase.. but i need to get on this challenge, wanna play along too?

K so DPayne from SC posted a challenge for the 7.8.9 10:11:12 challenge :-) You could join too! The challenge was to scrap that photo we took for Liz's Challenge. I had so much fun with this LO. Tried out misting (Maya Mist Turquoise) and i used my yummy camera stamp with frame. I didnt use much PP at all and i think i like what i came up with! Scrapping has been a blast lately for me (ive always enjyed capturing memories, but the process has been way fun as of late). Well here is is Enjoy! :-)
I am off to get back to work. 2 more weeks from today is my last day. I have been thinking about using this blog to not only track my scrappy goodness but also to document the life of an IPAP student when i get to school. This would be for people who have been accepted to the program and are interested in what life is like, but also for me to look back on later.

I took on a fun little challenge by Liz where i took a picture on 7/8/09 at 10:11:12 :-) I was at work and only had my iphone so the pic is stinky, o well i guess thats part of the whole challenge to just capture that moment (not to retake and retake). And i have never been on such a scrapp'n high! YAY for my scrapp'n Mojo! Anyways here are a coupe LO's.

This one i did a couple days ago for fourth of July. I did this page to document why we are so lucky to be American. Its some older JBS PP from my Sept 2008 WIP kit.Anyways i recieved my July SC kit Documentary and was super inspired. I am loving this kit! The next LO i did last night. I think i chanelled my inner Stephanie Howell to do this page, because it was a page about me and i never do those. So this Page is about me getting ready to go to Physcian Assistant school and my fears of leaving my hubby and baby behind.
Ok so finally i did another page with this yummy kit and i really like this one. It is basically telling my daughter that my world is perfect with her in it. I was totally inspired by Emily Anderson on this one, you should chack out her blog (she is the reason i started one, though i get sidetracked and forget to post alot :-) ). Happy 4th of July.. Belated

We had a really good 4th of July, how about you??!! We just BBq'd with friends and shot off the small fireworks in the backyard. Oh and Sparklers were my fav! I really am so proud to be an American. The rights i have in comparison to many of the middle easter countries are so AWESOME! I can vote, work, serve my country, choose the man I marry, marry for love, the right to be an individual, right to worship as i please and the right to wear what i choose. Seriously i am so happy and proud to be an American Woman, and glad for my daughter too!

So i have gotten some Lo's done and have not updated so here we go!! SC is my new FAV place!

I have a mini that i havent posted... i need to get the pics first! Next time :-)

Oh and my camera lens, while traveling to Toledo to visit my Mom, was broken :-( I seriously shed TEARS over it! Anyways it was a blessing in disguise because i am now a proud owner of a 50 MM 1.8 lens and i couldnt be happier (still getting used to no zoom though!). I forsee a LO on that topic soon with the new SC Camera stamp coming tomorrow (YAY)!

So this is seriously i think 3 posts in a row (thats a big deal for me, i want to blog more).

This weekend was pretty good, we took it easy because we have an exercise this week where we work 12 hour shifts. That makes us exauted so we have to rest the weekend be4 and after. However this weekend i leave for Ohio with Ava, we are going to visit my Mom for a week. I am pretty excited!!

I just finished watching the Hills... Its really hard for me to believe that Spencer has actually changed, he's just so sleezy! And i am sad Lauren is leaving. I think she is he reason i watch the show (i know i am grown watching a staged reality TV show).

Today i got the Shark, and i am in love. Its a steam mop and it totally rocks!! I love having things that make cleaning easier, and it totally does!

So i made those pinwheel thank you cards last night and i am posting the pic below. I also organized my scrapping area. It was just a desk in my Living Room, but the desk was way to narrow (it was one that came with the modular storage cubes. So i moved into the guest room. I am liking it so much better (so much more room to create with). I will post pics when i finish organizing. I can't wait to actually SCRAP on it! I AM SOO EXCITED for my June kit to get here (and sad i will be in Ohio).

And i leave you with my disney pics its our DREAM pics (yeah i want to be a princess go figure), we had so much fun even though it rained 90% of the time. Well i may not be posting for a few days due to the work schedule. Goodnight and have a great week!!

Changes

Life is about to change for me at the end of July... something i am excited about but yet dreading at the same time. I was selected for a Physician Assistant Scholarship for the Air Force, sounds great right? Well i will be seperated from Jayson for 2 years and Ava for the first year. I am excited that i will get books tuition and a great education for free (and get a pay raise from what i am making now). But i will miss a year of my baby girls life... a YEAR!! And i am not sure how living without my hubby that i love so much will go. He makes me smile and laugh everyday, they both bring so much sunshine into my every day. Today was a depressing day, there were definitely some tears. BUT this is a ince in a lifetime opportunity and these sacrifices i make now will better our entire future, not to mention allow me to reach some of my personal goals that were set for myself 6 years ago (when i joined the Air Force as an enlisted Airman).

Sorry about the somewhat heavy post, i want this to be somewhere that i can be REAL and not but on a picture of a picture perfect life.

I have some pics of Ava's first Birthday Party... Next post will be some from Disney! So enjoy the pics and i am off to make some pinwheels for my Thank You cards i have to make tonight. I am excited. Night!!

Hey everyone... i just got back from a 2 week vacation to Ft Meyer (1 week) and Disney (the 2nd week). I have lots to document... Ava turned one over that time period. I can't believe my little baby is one already :-( Anyways i scrapped for the first time in a while.. and i plan on keepin in coming. I have really been into the SC kits (check them out June is going to be amazing!!). Anyways here's my LO!

Starting out with a recent fav pic :-)Happy April, wait it is already the middle of the month! Geez time is flying so fast for me! We celebrated Easter (Ava’s first Easter) Sunday and it was good, just a fun family day, a little photo shoot (i will post this week) in her way to cute dress and of course Easter baskets. Jayson got me one this year, it was a surprise and I didn’t get him one… I was all focused on Ava’s first Easter basket I forgot about us! Ava enjoyed her bright blue Peeps, that’s pretty much all the candy she was able to get, but she got a bunny teether, a teddy bear from daddy and a bunny that hangs from her basket J She absolutely loved the pink grass go figure !

So I have been scrappin more lately. It makes me happy, it truly is a therapeutic release for me. Any time I get a chance while baby is napping, I take full advantage! I have really loved the Studio Calico site lately, I really like the style and the kits! SWWOOON! After my 3 months are up with CMK I am gonna give them a try! Stephanie is my fav designer and her blog is a MUST READ! Speaking of good blogs… Liz’s blog is another one I get so excited when a new post is up. Check them out you will not regret it!

So I have been wanting to sew more recently, I am not sure why… I think ETSY has a big part of it. I am looking for Ava a 1^st BDAY dress or outfit and I find so many amazing things. I am going to start out with making a zippered pouch this weekend. Check out THIS tutorial, it’s the one I am going to use J Also I have been in a spring cleaning/organizing mood lately, Martha has been my go to gal. Check out these Oragnizing tips, and this cleaning kit idea. I have never been to the Martha site before today… SCORE.

The Longest Week Eva

Ok so this week was one that seemed to drag on forever. I woke up thinking it was Friday yesterday, that always a let down when you get excited the week is over, but its not. I'm not sure why this week drug but i do know i have never looked forward to a weekend like this before!

This week this show go me through it... i am an addict, sad there is only 2 seasons, i am on the second season right now and i am still loving the quirkiness

Oh and i got some scrappy stuff. I am trying the CMK monthly kit. I got March's in the mail this week and some yummy Sassafrass, so this weekend i will get back into my scrappin routine. I need to recieve kits bc we dont have a good store round here so i am not inspired without these new products, i know that is dumb.. but hey it is the truth.

Ava Jayson and i have been busy going on our nightly strolls, i am seriously just tryng to savior every miniute i get with them before i have to leave and go to school without them :-( I am going to be making myself a lil mini of all the things i will miss so i can pull it out when i get lonely.

Yeah you got that one right. I have been digging this new food blog. Its got some pretty awesome recipes that even i am not intimidated by! I tried this recipe tonight and it came out pretty yummy! We are making the Lamb Vindaloo and Vegtable Lasagna later this week!

This weekend we just stayed at home and watched movies, it was pretty fun!

I have been having these terrible headaches everyday, so i have been taking lots of naps to relieve the pain. I am not sure what those are all about but this weekend was perfect for relaxing! Anyways i am loving Season 2 of THE Tudors, i am half way through!

Well i hope you have a great week! Oh and the Bachelor Season Finale is tomorrow i am a Melissa fan!!

Paris, Je T'aime

We just finished watching this movie (thanks Gorman for letting me borrow it, it took me forever to actually get time to watch it), but really it was a very unique and interesting film. Basically it a whole bunch of small films in one. There is sadness, irony, humor but most of all it made you FEEL things. It makes you appreciate what you have. It makes you hopeful for whats to come if you are single. Fate plays a part of it as wel. Wow i totally recomend this film, but there are some subtitles so make sure you have your glasses handy!

Today was our cleaning/family day. We usually spend Sundays at home all day, but we did that yesterday so today was shopping and haircut (for Jayson) day too! I love starting my week off with a clean and organized house (now the kitchen cabinets STILL need some work don't get me wrong). How about you do you have a weekend routine?

Tomorrow is Ava's spring picture day at daycare. She is going to be dressed in the cutest green dress her daddy picked out for her (pics will come when i get them back). She is learning (slowly) how to drink from a sippy cup and drank a whole 8 oz of formula from one today! :-) yay! My goal is by one NO bottles!

Well this week should not be a bad week, OO i am so excited i get my jogging stroller in! I ordered it a couple weeks ago and need to get jogging. I broke my tailbone in December and have not been able to work out so i feel fat and ungly to say the least! YAY for the jogging stroller! Anywyas i will be posting about the moleskine fetish this week but here is a hint of what it is about! (this photo was taken from FLICKER.

This site will save me soo much time managing a million different things... Facebook, Myspace and my blog. You should check it out too!! Its called Flock.

Oh funniness today... Ava had one of those explosive diapers today. Naturally i was given the diaper duty, he can handle them but his stmache is weaker than mine. So it was so bad i used 4 wipes and then requested a washcloth and a plastic baggy so that we can get rid of the bio hazard right away. So Jayson comes back with the washcloth and the bag so i hand him the dirty diaper, what des he do, he drops the nasty dirty diaper right on my toe ! So now i have a poopy toe and a husband who thinks he is just soo funny and a baby that is still poopy! It was actually really funny, he took over and i imediately washed the toe! Man the trials and tribulations of parenthood, really makes life eventful!

Just a quick post, but i do have some stuff to share... i am a newly conformed Moleskine® fan. I will post more later, it is late and i am soo tired and i know ava will be up in 6 hours (it is my morning to get up with her as we take turns on the weekend).

Happy Valentines day!

Ok i am starting a new. I am going to first start with Happy new year!! 2009 has a lot in store for me and my family. As you all probably already know, i am in the Air Force, well my hubby is too! I was selected to attend Physician Assistant School in Aug 09, which means i will be going to San Antonio by myself and leaving behind my hubby and baby girl! Its soo hard to think about, but i know its the best for the long run! We have decided that we will make a better life and it is worth the sacrifice. The good things are that we have technology, IE webcams and iphones to take millions of pics with, and we get xtra money for being apart that will help compensate for the plane tickets!

Onto happier news, i had my first photo shoot, well one that i planned and executed like it was a professional thing (even if it was for my baby girls first Valentines Day :-) ).

Today was beautiful (like 75 degrees) so we went to a local park. Wow did we have soo much fun, we need to do this more often ... FO SHO'!! :-) These were my fav's. Happy Valentines Day!

A Blogging Complex

I have so much to write about each time i go to blog i get overwhelmed and skip blogging all together. Is that a normal thing? Anyways i am getting over that complex now, the more i put it off, the more i feel guilty. Yes... GUILTY because i WANT to blog, and i WANT to create.

I have been selfish in that i have been reading everyone's blog but not commenting. My pre New Years resolution is to comment on every blog entry i read. Hey it could be a short comment, but i want to let you all know that i love and enjoy reading your blogs. Thank you so much for all your creativity and inspo!

I will make my next blog tomorrow, as my tummy isnt feeling quite right tonight. Uh Oh, not the tummy bug again! I must get back to sipping my Ginger Ale and nibbling on my Saltine Crackers, while indulging on my backed up DVR (Private Practice)!

Something i want to learn right now...

Is Photoshop!! I am getting photoshop CS3 for my birthday, which is Friday (yep i will be the big 24)! I have seen all this stuff about actions i want to know more!! Does anyone have a good link of a good site? Are they easy to use?

I have been so bad about taking pictures lately, Like Ava's 4th month pretty much went undocumented, but this weekend i began picking up my camera and using it!!! I will post when i upload them, we even made a video today

Ok a question about camera's. I am seeing all this stuff about a week in the life stuff, where you take photos of everyday things. This would require me to TAKE my camera everywhere. How do you cary it without looking like a total tourist??

Lastly i am thinking about doing a video once a week. The video would have my latest happenings and possibly some tutorials, though i am learning, maybe i will share with you stuff i have learned!! Let me know what you think.

A little something i have noticed...

is that since having a child i have become really fond of routines. I have NEVER been one of those structured people, i liked to do things on a whim, because i felt like it! Well something has changed me, i like to know know that

Dinner is a 530
Walk with Ava and Jayson is at 630
Bath time is at 7 followed directly by bottle
and bedtime is at 730
Dishes need to be done at 8
Before bedtime (me) routine at 815
REALaXIN time (my fav part it seems) is at 830-930 unless of coarse i feel like getting an extra 30 min of sleep in is needed

See and look at that i just made it in a BULLET list! I swear is that normal to change so drastically after becoming a mother?

I changed my banner, i was feeling in the mood for Halloween and thought i would share with you too! :-) its kinda like decorating my house but a lot less effort and i feel it had the same effect for me today! So is anyone dressing up? Ava is going to be a ladybug because someone gave us the outfit and its soo cute, cozy and warm! I am going to be passing out candy as myself, but i am sure Jayson will be dressing up to scare!

Well the yawns are a coming and looky what time it is, right on schedule 923!!! :-) Have a good Tuesday and i am leaving you with something i learned from class, check this out!!

The tummy bug is gone!

Well the whole family had it, and it is gone! Whew was it miserable let me tell you. Come to think of it i have been more sick than i ever have since i have had Ava, its kinda weird. Any-who... a couple Lo's to update you on. I got my October WIP kit and i am loving it! I am not as comfortable with these colors as last months but i making some progress! Here they are...

Oh and i signed up for Kim B's Blog class and i am totally excited. One it is the first online scrapping kinda class i have ever done, so we'll see what its like. I am totally psyched to update my boring old blog. You should check it out and sign up too, we could be classmates :-)

Also fall is in full swing, i am contemplating what stew to make this week. Walks with Ava have just been PERFECT! The sun is lower so its not blazing in our eyes, AND THERE IS A COOL BREEZE and yes i am in south GEORGIA!!! :-) Anyways we went out and got some magnolias to plant and pot to help bring in the fall colors, i was loving the burgundies and purples! Take a peek! Well i am off to get some rest i have work and then school... thats right bloggin class!

I love fall,

the brisk cool air brushing your cheek.

The color changing trees (although they don't change here),

squash yellow, candy apple red and burnt orange.

Waving hello to the neighbors, as they escape their house they hid in from the summer heat,

as me and Ava take our daily stroll.

Halloween night all the kids screaming "trick or treat".

Staring at the candy in anticipation of getting the "good" stuff. (I was always crazy about the chocolate- my sis and i would trade our candy till the wee hours in the night).

Thanksgiving a time where all our friends whose families are so far from home,

join together for a feast and great conversation.

Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, sweet potato casserole and yummy pecan pie!

I'm enjoying the beginnings of fall and hope Ava enjoys it as much as me!

And my birthday is just around the corner, a big 24!

I got my WIP kit in today and all i can say is by far its the best one. I love the colors and it reminds me so much of the colors of fall i cherish!

I havent been feeling good lately... 7 days straight of severe headache that medicine won't cure. went to the doc and they said tension headache... seems so miniscule for how bad it hurt! Anyways i am feeling better today, so maybe my creativity will come back!

Well i am off to bed to finish reading Twilight... I know i am slow, i only get to read 10 min before bed, and there was a week i didn't get to read at all! I am excited to see how it ends and to start the next book!

a new me

Howdy... i havent been posting much, i have been sick and when i am sick i have no inspo!!

I have decided that i need a new me.

A new me on the outside i mean, i am pretty fond of the inside me :-)

So Ava is 4 months old now and i have 6 pounds to lose to put me at pre baby weight.

However, i look like i need to lose 20!!

I think the stretching out of my belly has made it flabby, and not attractive.

So i did Yoga yesterday and I am totally feeling it today.

It is totally a relaxing way of working out, it doesn't feel like an intense workout,

but let me tell you it is.

So my plan is for the next 2 months,

(i have my Physical Fitness test for the Air force on November 13th)

I am going to run 5 times a week for at least 30 min, and i am going to Yoga 3 times a week.

I will be waking at 0400 to run/shower before Ava wakes

and will still be out of the house by 615!

That means my bedtime is going to be 8pm, wow i really am getting old!

So i am committing myself to this so that

I can feel better about myself.
I can pass my PT test
I can feel like i am making some sort of progress in my life
so i can make some time for ME!

So... now that i have bored you all with my personal goals

i will leave you with some pictures

because i have no LO's to add, although i am almost finished with my first mini!

Howdy! Well this weekend was FUN, we went on a photo shoot with an inspirational photographer Charity.

She is so inspiring, if i could only have 1/10th her talent!

Anyways i absolutely love her and i love the photos here are my some of my fav!

Oh and i want to give proper credit for that amazing headband i made. The ever so creative Elizabeth's blog is one of my favorite places lately.

A weekend getaway and a couple of LO's

So this past 4 day weekend was fun...

My daddy rented a condo in New Syrmerna Beach (ocean view too).

It was Ava's first beach experience.

I was a little worried as i love the beach so much,

What is she hated it, what would i do??

Well luckily she loved it, my little beach bum!

She loved feeling the sand between her toes and fingers.

And i loved how the salty misty wind,

Made her hair stick straight up

like scuttle after he used the dinglehopper on his hair!

Hubby had to stay home and work :-(

But my dad rachel and rob (my step bro)

all had fun staying up till midnight playing Phase 10.

Definitely a fun game.

When i got home i felt inspired to use the O so awesome WIP september kit. Here are my projects.

1. A little Thank You card for the people who used to watch Ava, they mean so much to me.

2. A Bookmark that was inspired by Jana a designer for WIP kits. Thanks for the awesome idea!!

3. A 8 1/2 by 11 LO. I dont do those very often. I used the Pencil Lines sketch #99.

I am the luckiest girl ever! I have an awesome family who sends miss Ava goodies all the time!! Well that means i have to make some thank you cards! So i did here they are!

OOO and i got a LO done on a weeknight.. That is CRAZINESS!! I am so proud of myself! Anyways this is done with my WIP kit again.. a swear i am getting so many LO/Cards done with this kit!! I should be getting my September one any day now!! Here you go...

Also here are a couple pics i clicked this weekend at my Dad's. I thought i would share. I can't help it!! :-)

I am loving the Twilight book! OO and KB you were right it is addicting!! I stay up WAY to late reading it.. O WELL its worth it (although last night i ad some freaky dreams probably due to the book). Well i finally have had time to post! lets see i have been working on an art journal dabbling with techniques i have been inspired to try. My art journal i am keeping private, because i want to create with the intention of it being for me, not trying to make it to impress anyone. I love it though, its definitely a release. I created another LO using the WIP kit. The new one should be arriving soon and i can not wait!

Jayson wrote me this letter a couple weeks ago... i thought it was so romantic for him to still write me love letters tho we have been married for 4 1/2 years and have a baby together. He never seizes to amaze me.

Ava is 3 months already! Wow where has time gone? here is a pic i took yesterday. I thought it was so cute her sticking her tongue out. the little things still make me melt!!

I can not believe how big she is!! i am hoping to get away this weekend to my dads house. I love visiting him, seeing him with ava makes me remember how much fun i had with my dad when i was a little girl (i definitly was a daddy's girl). I hope she has as much fun with her daddy as i did mine and i am sure she will because Jayson is the most fun daddy ever.

Well i am so ready for this weekend. I am ready to curl up and watch a movie and take a nap with Ava!! This working thing has me tired!! So i was up till 345 creating last night. The WIP kit is awesome and i havent even come close to using it all! i am surprised how much really comes in the kit! Anywho here is my latest LO!

My finals are over with Hooray!! I felt a huge sense of relief and freedom when i was walking out of the test place! So i received my WIP kit and i am going to get started when i get home from work tonight! I am so excited! I will try and post my layout tonight! Here's what i got!

OOO one more thing i have finally tried the sewing on paper thing and i love it!! So i am going to try and incorporate that in my page tonight too! I leave you with some Ava pics!

Ok so it has been a while. Things were crazy around the Gentry home. Jayson went TDY last week and what was supposed to be a 2 day TDY to Canada turned out to be a 6 day TDY! So it just happened to fall on the week i was going back to work! I was dreading going back for weeks now and i had to do it alone :-( It was so stressfull! Sending my baby to the babysitter while i was at work for 8 hours was the hardest thing i think i ever will have to do! On top of all that i am less than a week away from Finals. I am taking 2 online classes this summer (US History and Philosophy). I don't know what exactly i was thinking taking classes with a new baby, my focus has been on her and not so much on my classes. So im not gonna get the best grades this summer. So basically when these classes are done i will have more time for scrapbooking and FAMILY!

Last weekend was my good friend Stephanie's wedding. I caught this pic that i absolutely love before the ceromony, and i want to share it with you!

Also Ava has been loving her baths lately, she is all smiles! Here is a pic we took last night!

OO and Sunday my Dad stopped by Valdosta for Lunch (he came from Orlando) and we had fun at Texas Road House. He mostly was talking to Ava (its the cutest thing ever!)

And i did this LO last week for OLW. The word to use was NOW. I finished it late but hey at least its done!!

OO i thought of a couple more things! Ok i am thinking about getting photoshop CS3. Since i am getting into photography, i thought that a good editing program could be useful! What do you guys use?

Also i ordered my FIRST scrapbook kit from WIP. Check it out is pretty awesome and i cant wait to get it and get started!

Happy 4th!

Well i received my camera yesterday!! I ordered the cannon XSI, if i havent said it already!! I have not stopped taking pictures!! Photography is soo much fun!!!

Today was an awesome family day, Jaysn was off and so all of us played together today! The day began with my fav, French Toast! Then i watched the Bucket List, HOW INSPIRING! I have to make a list of things i want to do/accomplish before i die, it would be a perfect scrapbook page! Then i got an amazing pic of the sky the first really clear day we have had alot of rain).
We then went to a friends house to chit chat for a while. Then we packed Ava up and went to went to Austins Steak house, Yummy! Here's a pic of her and Daddy! After that we were off to sit and wait for the Valdosta Fireworks show. We didnt have a very good spot (we were in the lowes parking lot because parking was sparse, but it was still pretty - the top half of the fireworks that is)! Then we were off to Starbucks --->

Well i have a layout almost finished, i just need to finish embellishing, that seems to be the toughest part for me lately!

Well i just finished up the page, i was a little late getting started! I am so glad to be gettng back into scrapbooking, i have so much fun doing it, it is a release for me! So here is my LO. I have not figured out how to take good pics of the 12X12's yet, any advice?? Anyways i know you are just sooo excited... :-) here ya go!

Home at last!

I'm home and i am getting ready to whip out my awesome scrapbook supplies that i got at scrapbook boutique , it is near the Florida Mall! I got paint, thickers, stamps, a crafting knife and paper ( a whole bunch of goodies). So tonight hopefully i wil be able to post.

My camera still has not come in :-( Its being shipped from Japan.

Happy 1st Birthday to the Paper Trunk! You should stop by they are giving lots of goodies away!

OOO i wanted to say congrats to Emily, she won the last scrapper standing contest and is now a CK Design team member. So make sure to check out her work there too!! Well i will be on later with my completed page!

A Quick Update

I have had a blast while visiting sunny Fl. Ava went swimming the first time this morning (now she is wiped out and sleeping). I also got to hit up a real scrapbook store here and i got some cool stuff so i am inspired to go home and use my new stuff. I think i am going to go to michaels today to get some thread as i am going to attempt to use my sewing machine in my scrapboking!

OOO i took a pic with my dads camera of the sky yesterday for Kara's prompt, but i think i am going to try again, it was pretty cloudy yesterday, plus i am trying different things! I am excited to see what the prompt will be. Anyways i will post pic later after i get it uploaded!

A Camera, A Trip and in NEED of sleep!

First i am so sleep deprived. Ava is 6 weeks now and we are trying to get her to sleep in her crib = NO SLEEP for mommy! I go back to work in 2 weeks so we are trying to get her into a routine and sleeping on her own. So i am quite delirious right now... but a good delirious, Ava is beautiful and amazing!

Secondly, i ordered my first REAL camera today, a cannon XSI! I am so excited to learn all the creative ways to get awesome photos. I absolutely love Kara's photography, very inspiring keep them coming girl. Anyways, i really need a good camera now because i take like a million pics of Ava, i just happen to think she is th cutest darn thing... i guess i am a little biased Tho :-)

Ava and i are headin on our first Road Trip tomorrow. We are off to Orlando to visit Grandpa and Grandma (and i have to make a trip t Ikea and a scrapbook store other than hobby lobby). I am excited, my Dad has a pool and his cooking is Amazing!! And when i get back my camera should be here... a lot of practicing to do!! But while i am there i am going to used my Dad's his is even better than the one i ordered (he just does not know how to use all the functions)!

Well i am off to TRY and get some sleep for tomorrows journey!

Inspired to Create

lets see... where should i begin. basically i am a girl who really thinks of myself as not so artistic (im in the military, stationed in Valdosta Ga and grew up with parents that stressed books not crayons and paint). This is the thing though i pick up paper and glue and i am quick to figure things out. My friends were all shocked, i am shocked... and i need a place that challenges me, tracks my progress as my style takes form and encourages me. But most of all i wish to one day inspire someone as so many have inspired me.

i really have to be honest and thank Emily , i have been secretly stalking her blog, i just love her style and learn from her everyday her work is inspirational... not to mention her taste in music ROCKS!!

Well this layout is the first in probably 2 years. First i am not typically a pastel person when scrap booking, but having a baby girl i feel thats what i am stuck using. Hummm.. i wonder how i can incorporate more bolder colors and get out of the stereotyplical pastel pink and purple!
